About us

ASH RECYCLERS is promoted by A.Syed Hussain. He is in the electronic scrap business since 1981 in the name “ ASH SCRAP DEALER.” In the year 1995 he witnessed the tremendous growth of electronic industry. At the same time the electronic equipments such as computer systems, monitors, printers and other devices became obsolete within a short period. As a scrap dealer he started to give in-depth attention to electronic waste. As an environment conscious person he realized the hazardous materials involved in electronic waste. He decided to tackle electronic waste hazards by using globally tried out technologies which are environment friendly, which also provide employment opportunities to the poor people.

This resulted in him promoting “ASH RECYCLERS” Bangalore, INDIA, based environmentally conscious electronic waste recycling organization. He is committed, result oriented and posses required leadership skills. Under his dynamic leadership the workers are determined to provide a safe and sustainable electronic waste management and recycling that meets the global standards. Ash recyclers have a well established standard methodologies and documented procedures for REDUCE, REUSE and RECYCLING of electronic waste complying with WEEE Regulations.

Ash scrap dealer had a clientele of many multinational IT related companies. IBM, siemens, Compaq, Acer, Canon, Modi Xerox, Wipro-Infotech and Wipro Peripherals are quiet a few to name.

ASH RECYCLERS likes to provide global standard in electronic waste recycling.
Our solution consists of creating a mix of reuse and recycling of electronic waste to have a zero environmental impact and maximize value from the process of E-waste disposal. The solution consists of a mix of manual and automated process.

The manual process will take care of:

•  Sorting of reusable components from “Electronic waste junk” normally disposed off in an environmentally harmful manner by burning or into municipal waste.

•  Sorting of reusable components from Electronic waste junk (“Electronic waste junk are normally disposed off in an environmentally harmful manner by burning or into municipal waste.”)

•  Dismantling of electronic waste to recover useful raw materials.

•  Segregation of hazardous and non-hazardous materials for further processing.

The automated process will be used for:

•  High volume processing of electronic waste deemed as unrecoverable and normally disposed off in landfill or burnt.

•  Recovery of raw materials from these sources using multiple processes.

ASH RECYCLERS in BBC WORLD
At Ash Recyclers the hazardous metals are safely extracted at a special plant, and everything else - down to the keys - is recycled.
There are plans for a large industrial recycling plant to open in 2007. Until then, the women at Ash Recycling help form the backbone of Bangalore's e-waste clean up.
The growth of India's technology industry shows few signs of slowing, as do the piles of waste it creates.
Government policies to stop dumping and encourage recycling will have to work quickly if India is to avoid leaving an unwanted legacy.

“Bangalore produces 6000 tons of IT related waste every year ending up in piles of motherboards like this. Extracting gold from motherboards is also the most dangerous part of the entire process. Here it is still broken down much further and components are used. Virtually nothing is wasted here, everything is recycled here”. “In this warehouse at Bangalore these women breakdown the obsolete computers. This operation follows local government's safety regulations”.
